Can I just not go to a lecture at all

I am doing COMP1001 and for Lecture 3 they decide to hold this shit at 5:15pm. I could not be fucked staying at uni every wednesday that late so am I at any disadvantage if I just never go to that lecture and solely rely on recordings?

If you're planning on doing further computing classes in future I would strongly suggest you pay attention in this class as it serves the basis of the rest of your studies in the area so if you fall behind on knowledge here you will be (excuse my language here but cannot emphasize enough) royally bent over 2nd and 3rd year.
