Defending the camp, what should I do?

So I signed on with Aegis-Sec to go to their Black Sea camp, I know have to, at some point, help defend the camp from the native population.
How do I most effectively do so, would laying bear traps and frag mines be a good idea, I also have access to several different firearms as well (I have been refurbishing old world firearms and have the Bieretta, ZC 99, K&H MP6, Mini Izu, K&H 416, N16, Steyr-Auch, AFW, Dragunov, and can make high level ones as well.
