Let me express my extreme frustration with the Opponent RNG

Selecting the opponent you will face next round is one of the most frustrating aspect of the game for me. Here's the problem. In the early game, if you are unlucky enough with a weak board, you can be constantly pitted against the high-rolling players, which would put you around 60-70 HP and a loss streak. As you're getting more free rolls and building your army, it is not impossible for you to continue facing the win-streakers in the mid game; it is not even that unlikely to face one enemy multiple rounds in quick succession. As they chunk your health under 50 points, you have no choice but to start using your gold more aggressively, which is way too early because of all those big losses you endured by the win-streakers. Now comes the disaster. Remember all those other weak boards (e.g., Assassins, mages, etc.) that you failed to meet in the early/mid game? Well now they have all their 3 stars and synergies, and since you haven't faced them in a long while, it is very likely you will do so multiple times in the upcoming rounds. In such a scenario, which by the way happens way too frequently, most probably you will end up in the 7/8 place, wondering what you could have done differently.

I have also experienced it the other way around. Having a very mediocre board, but holding a long win-streak simply because of facing all the other weaker boards and avoiding the stronger ones. This easily secured a top-3 finish as you have so much HP and gold to work with in the end game. It was of course beneficial for me but this is not a fair system.

Have you ever had a lobby when you felt like everything was easy and smooth? And then the next lobby, it felt like you couldn't do anything to prevent losing? Well of course RNG and decisions are important, but my point is that a harsh Opponent RNG can force you into a losing position. The situation could have easily been different if you hadn't faced every opponent on their power spikes (win-streakers in the early game and lose-streakers in the end game).

I hope that the community also feels the same way and that we can work together with the developers to make this impactful aspect of the game better. My suggestion is that the selection algorithm should also take board strength into account. In doing so, it will be more likely to have a more balanced opponent RNG.

Thank you for your time.
