I have a question about storage long term and dried fruits remaining potent. Maybe someone can tell me what I did wrong. Harvested the fruit by float technique and cut at the base and dried in a dehydrator at 150F the same evening. Everything seemed dry enough after 4 to 5 hours, then they went into a ziplock bag in the freezer. They were potent for about 2-3 months. I eventually got a jar large enough for everything that was left and moved it into there. The seal didnt seem super air tight so I added a rubber band to the threaded portion of the lip to seal off better and had a large silica gel pack taped to the lid. It sat on a shelf for about two weeks that did not get direct sunlight but I wouldn't say it was in the dark. next time I tried them....literally nothing. Had also given some to a friend straight out the freezer and he tried them around the same time....like close to 10g and did not feel a single thing.

So what did I do wrong here? Do they need to be in absolute dark? If the seal isn't 100% airtight do they really lose all potency that fast? was it the freeze and thaw that ruined them?

I'm considering taking this next batch and running it through a food vacuum sealer and do small pouches of pre measured doses. Has anyone had luck with that before.

Thanks for reading my long ass post! it was super disappointing after a really successful first grow having to throw away 90% of the little guys. :(
