I've often thought about growing, now I have the opportunity. Have a question about light?

I'm going to get some spores and a all in one grow kit...

The spores I'm still doing research on where to get them.

The kid I'm going to get the one in the picture that's all in one

My question is I have a friend that owns a restaurant and there is a little closet in the bathroom that is always locked and he said I can do anything I want in there and he knows and is fine with it that I would specifically use it to grow some mushrooms

My question is do I need light for them to grow I have heard some say yes and some say no... It would just be inside a closet with no light and I could check on it any night. Or would there be a certain strain that's better for not having much light?

The spores I'm still trying to figure out where to get them cheap in the 10ml syringes. Don't know if there is a strong type that is good for my situation I should be looking for or just do the typical penis envy syringe

AC is always on in the building and I'm located in South Florida in a very tropical area but will be growing in winter time... But I'm considered a tropical area because I'm in the Florida keys

Planning on just starting the grow in that bag and then getting a tub and putting it in the closet in the bathroom.

Although it's tropical and humid outside the AC inside is decently cool and doesn't seem too humid. Also winter is the dry season here in the Florida keys... I don't even know if humidity matters LOL
