So like most people here I watched PGT's videos to get a more visual understanding of the process.

I now want to try to make my own sterilized jars of brown rice without a pressure cooker, so I looked into broke boi tek.

I think PGT's video on the subject is super helpful, however, people on shroomery seem to not think as highly of him as people in this subreddit do. Is this classic gatekeeping or does PGT actually make mistakes in his videos?

Most criticism of broke boi tek I heard was the lack of pressure cooker (which seems to be forgiven since only rice is used and not another grain that's harder to sterilize) and squirting a MSS right into the jar (risk of contaminated solution). I already have agar plates colonizing so I'll be sure I have clean mycelium to put into the jars.

Is the rest of the criticism fair? Can a more experienced grower tell me why people on shroomery don't like PGT?
