Post Body

Once again Naughty Dog produces another amazing game yet I still put it behind Among Thieves for best Uncharted.

To start, I think the music was not as good in this game as in the other 3 apparently the composer of the first 3 and UC4 are different so maybe that could be a reason why it wasn’t as good.

I loved how in chapter 4 I believe Nate is going around in his attic and you can see treasures found from previous games, yet the best part was it played the music from the chapter of the game of when you found it. I thought that was a great call back. And I LOVED when Nate pulls up his phone and tells Sam to call Charlie Cutter.

Uncharted 3 focused heavily on hand to hand combat and it looks like UC4 ditched that and traded it out for the rope for more complex parkour, also wtf Sully can do parkour? Speaking of the characters I thought when Elena finds Nate in Madagascar and then Nate tells Sully to leave was an overall bad scene, tbh, I never was a huge fan of Elena I always thought she got in Nate’s way and that scene (I think chapter 12 or 13) made me be like ugh typical Elena but then it really shifted later in the game and they really showed the relationship between them two that they haven’t showed in any of the previous game, and Elena was kinda badass in Madagascar too. Also, LOVED Rafe, I think he was a great villain, as for Nadine I think she was a pretty weak villain, never really felt threatened or wanted her to lose like you did with previous UC villains yet they love pairing villains together.

I still put UC2 above UC4 because I feel like UC4 tried to replicate everything UC2 did. In example, starting the game mid story then playing through flashbacks to get to present time. The mission where you climb the bell tower was resemblant to climbing through the cave/mountain of Nepal. Of course the convoy jump which has become a staple of UC. Building jump of them crashing into each other, running away from a turret car so on and so on.

Lastly, the boss fight was pretty sweet but wasn’t the best, overall the final couple chapters were underwhelming compared to what you normally see, which is an epic boss fight (which we got) and then an epic escape. UC2 still has the best escape with UC3 rivaling it, although UC3 had the best boss fight against Talbot with UC: DF rivaling it
