I have a Ryzen 5 2600x in an MSI B450M Mortar. I have 2 GPUs in the system:
- 5700 XT in first PCIE slot (3.0x16), bound to VFIO driver and passed through to Win 10 gaming VM
- GT 710 1Gb in third PCIE slot (2.0x1 via chipset), connected via riser board to put out UnRAID GUI
Both cards are connected to the same display (5700 by DP, 710 by DVI to HDMI) so I can shut down the Win 10 VM and change inputs to switch to UnRAID.
- I changed boot mode to UEFI which enables GOP on my board and the BIOS came up on the GT 710
- booted UnRAID, got Win 10 VM working after driver reinstall
- UnRAID console is working when switching to HDMI input
- UnRAID GUI is not working. After the boot sequence I get a blinking cursor on the screen for a while which eventually disappears leaving me with a blank (not standby) screen. Per
$ ps aux | grep emhttp
the web server is running and I can connect to UnRAID's IP fine but it's not outputting anything to the screen anymore.
Any hints what to do?
[Edit]
I tried the nomodeset
option which didn't do anything for me.
I can only switch between UEFI or CSM boot mode in BIOS. CSM has an option to allow CSM UEFI but UnRAID always uses the GPU in PCIE slot 1 (5700), UEFI mode means UnRAID uses GPU in PCIE slot 3 (GT 710, as desired) but won't output past the startup sequence.
