so stumbling in the dark I finally found how to import my ZFS pools.

I added a user

I made one of the data sets shareable and assigned the user.

can't connect to it from android or macOS.

This may sound weird but I feel like I am in a learning curve and not making much progress./

I would have gone with PopOS cockpit ZFS and maybe casaos but like what unsaid has done in making containers simple and accessible. I work in IT and do alls sorts of things, but containers and docker I can't wrap my mind. Even in macOS when I tried using docker I could never get the containers to see each other on the network nor use local storage properly.
