Budget ultra wide on sale.

I’m upgrading for the first time from a 21.5”, 60Hz, 1080 display from 2011 to an ultrawide monitor. Was having a hard time deciding but I found This deal on Newegg. It checks all my boxes: 1440, 21:9, at least 100 Hz, VESA mount compatible, and Freesync. It’s only going for $400 on Newegg.
Is there anything I should know which would prevent me from pulling the trigger on this monitor? I have a gtx 980, but I heard Nvidia now supports Freesync.
