I have a 49" Original G9 in box that I can return for a different monitor. Before I open it I have some questions/concerns about it.

First, how hard is it to get used to the curve. I use two monitors right now and I have them in a configuration where they're not that angled towards each other. Second, I've heard that local dimming is kind of bad on it. Is it very noticeable in dark games?

If it is that bad is there any other 32:9 monitor under $1000 that doesn't have that problem and doesn't introduce any new ones?
