Is 3440P worth it instead of 2560P with an RTX 4080?

Post Body

My pc is an RTX4080/I7-13700Kf/32GB Ram DDR5 and the monitor is an AW3423DWF

I'm just in love with the 21:9 aspect ratio for games like Halo, it's really incredible, but obviously I get less FPS than with my previous 2560x1440P monitor, for example in fortnite, I have lowered the graphics from "Epic" to "high" to get about 150/160 fps instead of 110/120 (that's no drama, I know)

Do you think the loss of performance is worth it? I bought the computer recently, and I wanted to keep it for many years, that's why I spent so much money, but I'm afraid of the lack of performance for this resolution, I'm obsessed with thinking that perhaps the "ideal" gpu for this monitor/resolution was a 4090.
