Hello,

I am the UK citizen and my husband is the US citizen. We are in the process of booking biometrics for next month for him in MA. I know one of the things needed to send in for Biometrics/overall application is the Passport. Of course, priority services are suspended so there's no option to keep the passport.

How long will the passport be with UKVI for? The whole duration of the application? Or until partway in?

If it's for the whole duration, has anyone figured any way around it? My husband only has the one US Passport.

We were hoping we could get my husband to visit the UK as a tourist for a week before he comes to live here.
