I came to UK to study back in 2020, and after that I got a graduate visa (BRP), which already expired back in December 2023. Now I have partner visa, which allows me to stay until January 2026. However, since the government is gonna replace physical BRP with eVISA, all the BRP expires on 31/12/2024.
Today, I created a new UKVI account with my current BRP. Nonetheless, five minutes after the completion of the account application, they sent me an email to tell me my eVISA is ready to view. Then I clicked on the link, filled in my current BRP number, but got shown the incorrect status, which is the graduate visa that already expired.
I would like to know if anyone also has the same issue, and how to deal with it? Will they update my immigration status with my new BRP details?
And BTW, all the BRP will expire at the end of 2024, so when we create an account and fill in the expiry date of BRP, do we put 31/12/2024? I am scared because my visa is available until January 2026, and I am not sure if they will misunderstand my visa will expire at the end of the year.
