Refund for Visa Withdrawal after Biometric Appointment

Hi, I applied to the skilled worker Visa about 3 weeks ago and got a message saying I need to withdraw my visa as I paid the wrong application fee. However, I only received this after doing my biometric appointment. I’m afraid I won’t get a refund on my application and I do not have the money to apply for a new one. Has anyone gotten a refund on the visa application after biometrics.

Furthermore my biometric appointment was with VFS global who do not offer any services as far as visa tracking. Has anyone dealt with them before

On a side note, I have no idea how I paid the wrong fee as it said it was calculated during my application and I paid the fee UKVI said I should have.

Any help would be awesome!
