Hi folks, my partner moved here from Brazil on a work visa (she’s a doctor in the NHS) that she has to renew 3 years from now. She’s been here around 18 months now, and we’re engaged and bought a home together. We’re wondering if it’s worth swapping her from the work visa to a spousal one, which I think costs £1048 since it’s an inside UK application? Are there any other costs or issues in swapping visas? Our thinking for wanting to do this is so that she’s not here only due to her job just in case and it also would allow her to work outside of her job so we could earn and save some extra money as things are getter tighter on our finances.
