I am currently on a SWV which expires in November. I sponsored my wife as a dependant and she is coming in October, we plan to apply for an extension together in November.

I live in a 2 bedroom and have a flatmate. I want her to come live with me. My flatmate plans to move out in December, hence the tenancy would be renewed in my and my wife's details.

The problem is that for the visa extension application, we are asked for the details of the landlord of where we are currently living (his phone number, address and all). I am worried about this as I do not know if it is illegal for her to live here for now.

Will it be a good idea to call and talk to the landlord and let him know the situation? I wanted to avoid this in case he says no, cause then that would put me in a very difficult situation. Please advise on what I can do.
