First time visitor to the UK, here. I'm planning a trip from London to Penrith on April 17th and returning on April 23rd.
Although the website lists tickets available for weekdays, all weekends are greyed out during this period, with the website claiming that "Tickets aren't yet available for this date." Does just mean that they're sold out? Or do they usually release new batches of tickets for weekends?
In my country you can usually buy a train ticket the day of travel. I guess I hadn't expected the possibility of trains selling out six weeks ahead of time.
Try TrainPal app, you can split tickets to save money 👍
