I think I tagged this properly?
I am an American interested in putting himself out there to be a place of emotional support for a Ukrainian(s) who are currently stuck in the Ukraine due to the martial law. Would it be possible to make a thread where these connections can be made? Or in addition a thread for Ukrainians to coordinate carpooling or travel groups for evacuation?
If that is not possible due to being dangerous due to Russian interference, I will leave some info about myself for the former.
I am 26 year old American from New Jersey who has traveled extensively throughout Europe (sadly, in 2015 I was recommended to visit your country but hadn't had the opportunity), Central America, and the United States. I am hoping to be a pleasant distraction with things going on. Besides any travel or stories I can share, I currently have a PS3, a new laptop on Saturday, and several multiplayer games on my phone (I am considering due to the circumstances a phone is possibly all some have) I am not entirely sure what the situation is outside of major cities, but I'd like to offer an ear at the very minimum. I don't have much experience with Ukrainians except an ex from Odessa who I met in Italy.
Some fine points about me;
• I only speak English and some broken French
• I keep albums of all my travels, if you have a place in mind that I've been to I can send photos.
• I have all major communication apps
• I have a spotify playlist with British Indie and low-fi tunes that I'd like to share.
• Am willing to wake up early (3am) to accept a call. I am USA, Eastern Standard time (EST -5:00)
If google translate is acceptable, I am willing to close the language barrier as much as possible.
