UK resident here that can't just sit and watch anymore. I tried leaving for the Polish border to help refugees at the start of the conflict, but my partner begged me not to go. Now, two years on, I feel sick to my stomach that I've not done more.
This is as genuine a post as they come. I'm no war tourist - I just can't keep sitting on my fucking couch, donating to UA Army each month and pretending I feel satisfied at the "help" I'm giving.
I've found a number of NGO's I'd like to volunteer for and have made provincial contact but I'm still awaiting response... and half wondering if I'll even receive any.
Ergo, I'm hoping to speak with anyone who has gone to UA to work with NGO's and may be able to share how they achieved such.
Nb; not looking to fire rifles. I just want to help on the ground.
