Post Body

Hi, I’m starting medical cannabis soon. My social anxiety is very severe. I have had it for about a decade now. It forced me to quit two colleges and then quit uni and prevents me from working.

Talking to strangers is either totally impossible or an extremely difficult exercise. And it’s not only active when speaking, I deeply struggle with the simple thought that someone might look at me.

I’ve had CBT 3 times and tried about 7 SSRI’s and propanolol, hasn’t helped much at all if not at all.

Anyone have any experience with taking medical cannabis for social anxiety? Has it worked?

its the same with anti depressant man. none of these external things are going to cure you of it.. they are only going to make it easier to deal with (hopefully).

whereas a therapeutic session with psilocybin IS a therapy session. you can come out the other end of a session HEALED from these mental issues that plague you... therefore not requiring medication once or numerous times a day, for the rest of your life.

I smoke weed. medicinally. for mental health benefit. but im under no illusion it's a cure. fairly often it CAN make things worse for me anxiety wise. I just know it's the weed though and ive had plenty adverse drug experiences to be truly bothered by the anxiety it can bring. because the negatives do outweigh that for me. NAD
