Chronic insomnia...cured?!
Post Body

I've had severe insomnia since childhood, I can clearly remember lying awake at 3am in my bedroom as a child when I still shared with my younger brother so from at least 8 years old. As an adult, it's just got worse over the years to the point where I've been on a cocktail of medications to sleep which include Zopiclone, Clonazepam, Amitriptyline, Mirtazapine, plus I'm on several opiates - Tramadol, Oramorph and Fentanyl. Despite those meds having the potential to totally knock out anyone else, I barely feel the effects now and have to go through periods of cold turkey in rotation to try and manage my tolerance.

Yesterday I got my prescription of LA Kush Cake and Farm Gas, I'd told my clinic (Sapphire) that I wanted something that would help my insomnia and muscle spasms at night and they prescribed these to try. Oh. My. God. I had the first 'natural' night's sleep I've had in years! The Farm Gas had me incredibly relaxed and sleepy, and I woke up feeling refreshed unlike when I've taken Zopiclone for instance where I feel rough the next day.

I really feel like this is huge for me, insomnia has impacted my life and health so much that having something actually work is incredibly exciting! I really hope this continues. I've already managed to halve my dose of Tramadol from 8 pills a day to 2 - 4, and if I can also get rid of, or reduce some of the other drugs I'm on I'll be very happy...medical cannabis has vastly improved my life, I'm so happy about this latest improvement I had to share!
