I had my 1 month appointment with Sapphire on Wednesday, I hadn't been very happy with the first Dr I spoke to who I felt didn't listen to me, or my description of my (admittedly complex) medical conditions and types of pain. For reference, I've been on Tramadol, Codeine, Morphine Sulfate, Fentanyl patches, Pregabalin, Amitriptyline and paracetamol for years due to these conditions, and regular benzodiazepine drugs for insomnia and muscle spasms. I've been housebound until very recently when my boyfriend has been an angel in helping me practice getting out for short times.
I was prescribed oil following my initial consultation, which did absolutely nothing for me. I was determined to ask for flower at my next appointment and so wrote a list to discuss with the lady my appointment was with. She was actually a pharmacist and VERY helpful and patient. I explained that in the past month I'd been using BM in a vape and it had really helped although my tolerance seems high. She agreed to prescribe a 'medium' strength of Glory Sum Cookie (21% THC, 10g) but also wants me to trial the new strawberry pastilles that she said are generally found to be better than the oil and faster acting. My goal is to eliminate the morphine from my prescription list to start with, but any reduction in my very high opiate usage is a bonus!
Has anyone else tried the pastilles, and what were your thoughts on them? At £95 for 28, I feel like they'd have to be pretty damn good to continue buying them, but would appreciate hearing from others before mine arrive on Monday!
