So I'm currently working in a local firm ~30 staff, 12 solicitors across different departments. I qualified just over 3 months ago and have been with the firm for over 3 years. Currently working in litigation (covering almost all aspects of the area).
I've been contacted by a recruiter about a job opportunity. It's in a city about 40mins up the road and in their property litigation department. The salary is a huge step up (almost 20k more!) and apparently there are other benefits along with flexible and remote working (something I'm not offered now).
On paper it sounds like a good opportunity and I'm going to ask for more information but can anyone with experience of small local and large city firms share their experiences? I feel I get a lot of flexibility and am left to manage my own case load but that can be a double edged sword with no real support or oversight. Equally I'm concerned about not making the grade in a larger firm (big fish, small pond maybe) and also the stresses and processes that come with it.
Any advice, thoughts and opinions would be greatly relieved from both ends of it :)
