Shower switch advice please

Hello all,
looking for some advice please.
Shower switch started to go on the blink yesterday. The light on the switch would flicker, and the shower would not start.
I also noticed the switch felt warm to touch.
Today i isolated and opened it up for a look.
See attached pics.
Red wire has been roasting.
Can someone please advise on why this has happened, and what needs to be done.
