Hello!

As the title states, I wanted to know how the housing system works at UI.
From what I understand, housing is available at several resident halls/dorms in the Fall and Spring semesters, however housing closes on the last day of classes. After looking at the academic timetable, it would appear that exams are conducted after the last day of classes, where do students stay in that event?

Additionally, as a Business Admit, I understand that it would be beneficial to be in the East Neighbourhood. Which halls are usually preferred by business and finance students? Which would be a better choice for the cost?

Lastly, I can see a break of about 3 months between May and August in the Housing Contract. Is this the equivalent of a summer vacation?

Thank you for your time and helping me out :)
