Welcome to Ruin

Location: 600, -1500.

Ruin is a monarchy led by ceremonial King Jumpysnake, who takes all advice for running the city by the two actual leaders, head council members Dollaz & Gobblin. A smaller council manages other matters, involving Avalokitesvara, anon_one1 and Elaborates.

The city was founded late February after a major server-wide war agaisnt raiders was won. Dollaz led the resistance agaisnt the raiders with the support of many future citizens of Ruin and other cities on the server. The war left behind the current largest vault in the server for holding criminals. This vault is still present and very active beside the city.

Gobblin was a non-fighter involved in the resistance doing jobs such as clearing land for the vault and gathering materials. Being a long-time friend of Dollaz, they decided to found a city together close to the vault. Fact: the city name 'Ruin' has no interesting history and was chosen by Dollaz.

The city grew quickly, gathering many new citizens and leaders alike, and was left to grow freely for a long time before the second war broke out between members of the Chimera Alliance, a group of nations heavily involved in fighting agaisnt the raiders in the past war. After a reasonably short and confusing war, the city was left once again to prosper, bringing us to our current golden age.

Benefits of living in Ruin:

• There is no forced citizenship within Ruin, we regard citizens as any reasonably active player in the region who owns property and/or participates in the community. This is quite different to other nations that request that you meet strict requirements for citizenship such as holding no other citizenship in another nation. Ruin disagrees with this however, and citizens are welcome to hold citizenships in other nations as well as Ruin.

• The Ruin Government funds building and development within the Ruin area. If you design a building or infrastructure that you would like to see built within the city, a quick discussion with Gobblin or visit to the Ruin stockrooms could leave you with 100% funding for the project. Very few projects are turned back for funding.

• We support your ideas. Not being apart of the council does not mean that your voice is worth nothing. If you have a well grounded and reasonable idea that you would like to see happen, we will try our hardest to provide you with what you need.
