As many of you many be searching for next year's housing, l'd like to share about our experience at Village Lofts.
tIdr: DO NOT LIVE HERE.
Management is incompetent. There is one person running the entire building and they are constantly overwhelmed.
No walkthrough was done for our apartment before we moved in. Half the light switches were not working, most of our drains were clogged, several furniture items included in the lease were not there (and still haven't been provided).
No reliable maintenance over the weekend - they're called 'emergency maintenance' and will not come. We have yet to discover what an actual emergency is.
When someone throws up in our only elevator on a Friday night, that shit's staying till Monday at best.
When our power went out over the weekend, emergency maintenance did not want to come. When we got locked out of a bedroom over the weekend, emergency maintenance did not come.
- Utilities are $70 EACH - there are six of us living here. That is simply preparatory. We were told it'd be $40
when we signed the lease.
- Mail: Only Amazon packages come in reliably. Anything else, including deliveries by USPS, gets stolen, failed to be delivered because of failed access to the building/mailroom, ... I was TERRIFIED about getting my ballot delivered here.
@ other residents - got any experiences to share?
