Hi all, just wanted to clarify a few things about the Bruin Meal Plan stuff that's been posted on here.

Bruin Meal Plan - The meal plan for students who live off-campus, as in not in the dorms on The Hill. This includes those living in University Apartments (UAs). Purchasing the Bruin Meal Plan has not and will never be mandatory for students living off-campus - it is completely optional.

On-Campus Meal Plan (14R, 19R, 14P, 19P) - The meal plan for students who live on-campus, such as in Rieber Hall or De Neve Plaza. Students living on-campus are obligated to purchase one of the four meal plan options.

What UCLA has announced for Fall 2021:

"Bruin Meal Plan - Update for Fall 2021 Due to COVID-19 mitigations and staffing shortages, we will not be offering the Bruin Meal for fall quarter 2021. We will re-assess for winter quarter and provide updates here and to the dining website."

What this means:

Students living off-campus will not be able to eat at UCLA Dining Halls on The Hill for Fall 2021. Students living on-campus will still be able to eat at Dining Halls on The Hill in accordance with their meal plan.
