Gym etiquette question
Post Body

Hi, really new to the gym.

Something I noticed is that people form lines to use the machines. Okay, understood. But what if I’m alone. And what if I’m a guy and the person using it is a woman. Do I just stand there? Like, let’s say it’s busy and I only need that machine left. Or, like what do I do while waiting for the machine. Honestly, I’m just afraid of coming off as a creep if all I’m doing is forming a 1 person line standing there waiting for the machine.

Would like advice from gym goers and would like advice from men and women as well. I’m always afraid of doing something that may unintentionally come off as creepy. Especially since I see videos of it often on the internet. Like, even if you looked in someone’s direction or quick glance at them, say you were checking out the machine, people would think you’re a creep.
