advice on transferring
Post Body

hey yall looking for some advice rn. im a rising soph at uci cse and want to transfer to ucla bc personal reasons. by the time i apply for this app cycle i will have like a ~3.66 gpa.

i want to apply to cse but thats an 8% acceptance transfer rate or ee which is 30% and their gpas fall into the 3.8-3.98 range for both majors. i would really prefer cse over ee since i want to keep cs and apply for a software job but my backup is ee and double major with math of comp but that would take 2.5->3 years after i transfer which is sort of an issue in my regard and also less interest in ee over cse.

although no one knows if i will get in or not, i wanted to know what you guys would do if you were in my shoes: 8% cse and graduate in less then 2.5 years or ee math of comp and graduate >2.5 years.

as a note i have medical research at uci doing deep learning and neural network stuffs among other things, internships, clubs, volunteer work, and music from high school if that helps.
