skipper backstorys?

yall ever make back storys for any of your skippers? For me my Skipper is named Eric Nobel Canadian German who returned home and joined the Navy 5 years before war broke out and as a result of his Canadian Heritage tries to avoid sinking Canadian merchanterships unless under direct orders or if he can convince the crew to abandon ship.
