When am I supposed to “Confirm Stop” when stopping for a multi-stop PAX ride?

If I swipe and confirm when I arrive then I can still receive requests while they’re in there, but if I don’t “Confirm Stop” then they could potentially stop for infinite time?
When is “too” long?
How do we quantify or measure that limit?
