So I've been driving Uber in NY for like 2 years now and I've picked up all sorta people with all sorts of smells. Up till now most have been good or neutral. But jeez I did a ride tonight that I smelled straight through my mask.... I did think much of my riders till I was about 2 mins into the trip. The smell was musty and sour and I couldn't place it . As the ride went on it just invaded my car and got worse and worse..... I was hoping it was a bad fart or something dumb and the rider would open the window... Nope no such luck. I just had to try to not focus on it while the ride was going on. I got to the destination and all I could think was God I need to fabreeze my fucking car. After they got out and I took my mask down I knew the smell. It was a smell I haven't had to smell in a few years. I was the smell of fucking cat piss. But it was like they bathed in it like they rolled around in the cat piss kitty litter that doesn't have deodorizer. Omg and it fucking lingered for like 1 hr or so. I fabreeze the seats and the air and then all the windows went down and I drove to get my next rider. I straight up apologized and said my last riders smelled like straight up cat piss. That smell finally left my car now but I was like fuck I would rather have a smoker in my car puffing what ever the fuck over this cat piss smell. I was hoping my next rider smelled of weed cause that's like roses compared to the cat piss riders. I was like I'll fucking pay someone a dollar to just axe (preferably the Apollo scent) my car and I would rather it smell like every 90's kids bedroom in highschool. Fuck I know I need the money but if that shit ever happened again I will tell the riders I need all windows down or maybe just ask them to get out.... My nose was assaulted.....
