Being an "independent contractor", I use Uber and Lyft's platform to get rides. As such, I am in direct competition with all the other drivers out there for a finite number of rides available. Why would I give out my personal experience of where the patterns are for getting rides at various places and times throughout my city for free? I'm cutting off my own legs by telling other, newbie drivers "Oh, here's where I make all my money! Please, by all means, come and take away my earnings!".
However, when I do make comments/replies like that, I'm the asshole, the "non-team player". We aren't on a fucking team here, people. I do this shit to make money, and I follow the guidelines laid out by Uber and Lyft to do so. Nothing in my TOS says I have to "help" fellow drivers do shit.
What's all of your opinions?
