Get a Lyft request, GoGoGrandParent, with the standard "hey, you are picking up an old person" text, usually I nope the fuck out immediately, but I am in the middle of nowhere and rides from here are usually long and fat once you hit the freeway, plus I guess I'm having a particularly soft-hearted day, so I accept.

I roll up to a huge-ass house with a gate. No gate instructions were given with the text, so I hit "arrived" and wait. At 4 minutes the gate swings open and sitting outside was an 80-ish year old woman with two large suitcases and a FUCKING GIGANTIC SCOOTER. I am not XL. I have a 4 door sedan. There's no fucking way I'm getting that scooter in my car. I get out and ask the woman if it's just the suitcases. No, the scooter too. I tell her that's impossible, and I can't take her if that's the case, the GGGP service should have ordered her an XL. She literally starts BAWLING that she's going to miss her flight and they told her that they would take care of everything and why am I ruining the start of maybe the last vacation she'll ever take to see her grandkids? I rechecked in my head if I could fit all this shit in my car and decided I couldn't and keep my back seat upholstery in any kind of good condition, so I told her that I was cancelling and wished her luck with GGGP getting an XL ride out here in time for her to catch her flight (which the airport was almost 40 miles away, thankfully mostly freeway).

It sucked I had to say no, because that was a good chunk of change I was giving up, and plus I felt like a major-league piece of shit for basically telling Grandma I wasn't going to ruin my car to help her go see her grandkids before she died. FUCK YOU, GoGoGrandParent for putting me in that position, and fucking over this woman by ordering her the wrong thing, although perhaps she didn't tell them about the scooter.
