Let me preface that I’m generally a white collar worker and I never expected this to be easy work or a job that paid superb money…. But I’m also a hothead and quit my job when my boss and her boss pissed me off, so I resorted to uber. lol. Anyways, I rented through Hertz this week and the outcome has been goddamn depressing… I should have listened to the naysayers on here.
I’m trying to figure out if my strategy/times worked were just bad choices, or if I just live in a crappy area to do this..
My low point and when I decided that this was some horseshit was when I made $14.12 over the course of an hour. Subtract the $10/hour of expenses that I need to subtract for the rental and electricity/charge and really I netted about $4 in that hour. What the actual fuck…i could flip burgers at McDonald’s and make $20/hour!!
I get it, I get it… “until drivers stop accepting those $3 and $4, none of us will get paid more”… but damn 🌚
