Got a call from the parents of a 21 year old kid I drove Sunday morning. He had me drive him to a parking structure in Ventura. He wanted me to come with him for some reason. I had another trip already, so I declined, but he really just wanted me to go with him. He jumped off the structure. His mother called me to see if he left his phone in my car. I just got off the phone with her after talking for a while. The whole situation is just awful, and I needed to talk about it. I got his room number and the number for his nurse’s station. I’m gonna go visit him. Maybe that’s dumb. I’m just a random guy who drove him, but I feel like I should go see him. Probably nothing I can say to make anything better, but I can at least try.
