Absolute insanity

I lost my license for 4 months, and I’ve been ubering as my work isn’t transit accessible, but this morning I woke up to a huge surprise, causing me to be late for work.
Uber and Lyft were quite literally roughly 4-5 times the average price that I usually pay to get 20 minutes down the highway to work. I waited about 15 minutes and the price went back down to $24, but usually I’m paying more like $17 to get to work, still pretty insane.
Ended up being 30 minutes late to work, freaking pathetic.
