So last night, I was out and called an Uber to take me home.
The Uber arrives, I get in, confirm the driver is who I'm expecting and, at that point started to lay my drunken head back for a 30 minute snooze during the drive to my house from where I was.
The driver tells me that *Uber* cancelled my ride but he can take me for cash or I can Venmo him. I snap awake and look at my phone. Sure enough, there's another driver 4 minutes away. I say "thanks for letting me know" as I get out of the car while he's protesting and trying to argue that he can still do the ride off the books. I go back into my friends house and wait for the second driver and the first driver leaves.
It was pretty obvious that the driver cancelled and was hoping I'd just pay him to take me.
The second driver was AMAZING. She was friendly, the car was comfortable, she got me home safely etc. I have zero complaints.
When I go into my Uber account, I can only report issues with trips but I don't want Uber support to think I'm complaining about the second driver who I gave a tip and 5 stars to.
