This was the first sculpt I had finished that I had put a lot of hours into and when I moved to the mould stage of the process I didn't make my mix strong enough and in the demolding process the mould broke. Looking back at this project now I see where I could have tried to salvage or save something from this project but I was so embarrassed and devastated by the failure that I threw in the towel for a long time. But during the time I also started to do more research so that I could figure out what went wrong and correct it for the next time. For a long time I swore I was done and not good enough but something in me kept pushing and learning and I'm glad I never actually quit. Mistakes and failures are stepping stones and opportunities to learn.
