There are better ways for you to say, "I don't eat that."
Post Body

So, I've had this encounter on Telegram with someone who messaged me here after I've posted that I'm looking for new connections.

I was about to have lunch, and he asked what I was doing so I casually sent him a picture of my food which was some fried fish and chopped tomatoes, spring onions, chilis, in light soy sauce. Pretty simple, right?

So this guy replies with:

Yuck. 🤮 Fish.

And I was appalled.

I immediately replied with "Kbye." and deleted the whole conversation.

This guy had the audacity to ask why.

There are other ways for you to say that you don't eat fish. I don't tolerate bad behavior.

He then claimed he was just kidding (WTF? Right)

Bad behavior? he asked.

I was about to tell him that he shouldn't make that kind of remark on a picture of food someone is about to eat.

But he BLOCKED ME. Oh the nerve. LOL

That's bad behavior. It's utter disrespect to someone's likes, lifestyle, diet. IT'S JUST PLAIN DISRESPECT.

I was about to eat after finishing some chores and unfortunately came across someone like that... almost lost my appetite.

"Does it taste good? I haven't had fish ever."

"I don't eat fish, sorry."

"What is that?" -- ask so you can say you haven't tried it.

There are more ways to say you don't like the food.

Without disrespect. Considering the person who's about to eat or ate the food.

Honestly, I find it ridiculous why people find eating fish "cheap" and tasteless.

Do you know how much labor is put in in getting fish?

Oh how painful it is for fisherfolk to hear "Yuck" after they've come out to sea just to have fish for people to eat?

Oh how entitled should a person be to blatantly show disgust towards food that haven't even touched their lips and just seen through a photo?

And what's disgusting about fish? LOL.

Do you know what pigs accidentally eat? Even the chickens? LOL.

They unintentionally eat their own shit.

And you think fish would be dirtier?

At least the salinity of the water breaks down particles so minute they don't eat their own shit willingly.

Fish is cheap? A slice of tuna or salmon sashimi is how much? Caviar is from what?

A picture of opulence would be eating fish eggs.

Even those small orange balls your see on your maki are fish eggs.

Or your condescending ass didn't know?

Even Michelin star restaurants serve fish.

I was about to eat pan fried fish and you think it's disgusting. LOL

I'll find it hilarious if you're commenting on what I'm about to eat and you can't even properly boil an egg.

But hey. It's your choice.

It's not my fault you have an unseasoned palate.

Aside from not having the slightest idea of how the proper etiquette when refuse food or to decline to being offered food, your immature palate says a lot about you.

I find it ridiculous how you don't eat fish yet you live in country surrounded by water. To paddle around in beaches and you'd opt to eat a burger or a steak after? LOL

Ah. Yes. How classy.

Kidding or not kidding-- the real joke here is your lack of respect towards others.

Again, I do not tolerate bad behavior. And yes, your lack of respect is bad behavior. Or do you have to Google that to confirm?

Enjoy your bland food. Enjoy your jokes.

It's funny how class and taste go together. It's bold when you don't have both.
