My day had started out fairly well on the last day of a con I was attending. And then it took a nosedive when I was taking a break between games earlier. I got a notification that my old Reddit account was banned now. Sooo many years all gone.

I’d go through periods where I’d use it a fair amount and then go away for awhile. Sometimes I’d clear out all my posts. But I’d still be members of various communities and still follow all sorts of various people.

I’d chat with some people, but for the most part, after about a week or so, I’d just stop hearing from most of them. Which I’m actually sort of used to since I’ve seen that pattern repeated soooo many times since my first times on the internet back in the early 90s (before it was really called the internet among most people)

Lately I’d started using it more and chatting with some people and I’d been talking to them for the longest time outside of certain friend groups where I have met them in person at various points over the years. Which a few I’d luckily maintained contact with outside of Reddit.

Now begins the crazy process of trying to reestablish connections with some others I’d only maintained contact with on Reddit. And building back karma so I can go back and interact with the same communities again.

Some other stuff had happened too when I got home and currently on the fence about whether I should try to go to bed now. There were a few bright spots today though where I did get to talk to some friends and that improved my mood some, so the rest of the day wasn’t a total loss. I would have liked to have chatted more, but it’s totally understandable because each of them had other things going on that made them extremely busy. Which just made me value the contact I had with them all the more earlier.

And I suppose that’s enough rambling for now.
