Roman Empire Has had Many Bad Emperors but i think Elagabalus Was the weirdest
Post Body

Elagabalus, Roman Emperor from 218 to 222 AD, gained notoriety for his eccentric and controversial rule. He attempted to elevate the Syrian sun god Elagabalus to the Roman pantheon, sparking conflict with traditional Roman religious practices. His personal life was marked by scandalous and bizarre behavior, including multiple marriages and unconventional relationships. Known for lavish spending and excesses, his reign faced opposition from the military and the Senate. At the age of 18, Elagabalus was assassinated, and his successor, Alexander Severus, reversed many of his unusual policies. Elagabalus is remembered as a unique and tumultuous figure in Roman history.
