Pet play is the act of pretending to be an animal or taking on animal-like tendencies. It isnât usually used for arousal purposes although some do use it that way. It usually is just used as a way to escape from regular life responsibilities. If you are a cute, snuggly kitty, you donât have to pay the bills or clean the sink â you can just relax and focus on being a sexy little mindless pet.
Itâs really amazing, actually, how much a personâs personality will change when you are a pet. When you assume that role, you will be taking on a different personality. We also will want to agree on a way for the pet to let me know that sheâs ready to come out of their pet space. Maybe you should tug on a shoe lace or maybe gently nibble on my calves? Itâs just the way for you to tell me that youâre content and happy, but youâre just done for the day.
The mind is really your only tool when it comes to pet play. Without you believing you are the pet, you will not be able to get into the role. However, when a you are actually in the role, it is a common fact that some people have a problem thinking clearly. I might have to watch over you to make sure you donât get yourself into trouble. If the role is played enough, itâs also possible for the pet to slip into the mindset at inappropriate times. To avoid this, I would recommend a strict âcodeâ that allows your pet to know when itâs time to slip into the mindset. For example, when having you get into the mind space to be a âpetâ, always slip your collar around your neck and pat your head with âGood kitty/puppyâ. That will allow you to know that the scene has started. To end it, take off you collar, and go âThatâs enough kitty/puppyâ. It allows enough break between fantasy and reality to try and keep it safe.
