I've briefly mentioned it in posts but I've played video games with my son practically his whole life. Recently he had me playing the Resident Evil 2 remake(I remembered the old one from the 90s) but it still scared the hell out of me. We played Red Dead Redemption 2 online together a bunch. Obviously when he was younger and not in school/working we had more time. We'd play a lot of things together. Even single player. I've got my own Fallout 3/NV/4 character on his system.
This isn't to denote sexual acts as "dirty." Especially this. I just see my connection with my son as an extension of my love I've always had for him. My son plays instruments and can sing. I'm not going to get anymore detailed than that but I supported his interests. You can't give your kids everything they like because kids often want something, use it for a minute, and give up. But he was and is really into music so he took lessons. He played in a few bands in high school and still plays now. I've always supported him and shown up. I've cheered him on and recorded his performances. He'd run ideas by me and ask my opinions. He did later admit that he wrote some songs about me but he's too shy to tell me which or show me what they are(they might not even be recorded in any capacity for all I know.) I cheer the LOUDEST for my boy and he'll even say, "Thanks mom." And genuinely mean it.
We just do a lot of general activities together. We'll go on walks and talk. He's gone rock climbing with me. We have series of shows we only watch together. If he is with his friends or someone else and they want to watch it he'll say, "I'm watching that with my mom."
I pretty much said nothing but this feels really personal to me. It's not often I let personal stuff that isn't important to the point of my posts out but I felt like it today

I'm surprised the series is still going strong
