I see a lot of talk on subreddits about how incest can be natural and it should be normalized
But I know for me and for a lot of people. A big reason as to why we enjoy incest is because of the societal taboos. Imagine if all your life incest was a normal thing. You'd go outside and you see siblings sharing a wholesome kiss or father and daughter couples and it was just a thing that happened. Would that, "This is wrong." Thrill even exist for you? I do know there are a lot of incestuous couples that wish they could go public but I guess it is a chicken or the egg situation. If people didn't think you were weird for enjoying incest, would you enjoy incest to begin with?
I can relate it to LGBT related things. I have always enjoyed being with other women. But when I was younger and LGBT things weren't so mainstream, it was taboo. We still have a long way to go with acceptance and need to improve but kissing a girl when I was younger gave me that, "I shouldn't be doing this" feeling. It wasn't so much on my end because I didn't care but if I got the feeling that the other girl felt taboo about it, it excited me. I kissed and slept with a girl who was and as far as I know is still a very devout Christian. We were hanging out and had alone time and we ended up making out and we messed around. I could feel the hesitance and the taboo on her end of feeling like she's doing something out of the ordinary and it got me off.
So would incest be your thing if it were as common as regular relationships?
