this happened pretty quietly, but a few years ago the gender marker “X” was legalized in california. it was meant to be a gender-affirming option for intersex, trans, and non-binary people

i would love to see a wave of subreddits allowing posters to use an [X4A] format—after all, gender is a fuck. i’m not a fan of [T4A] being the only option. in regard to gender, i have been disinterested in categories for years and see myself as a being—whatever category you put me in is your business. i’ll never think of myself as female or male.

in the end, it’s easier to find people if i use the flair that corresponds to my sex. my slutbrain says “well, you naughty girl, maybe you need to be retrained to think of yourself the right way.” it also says “you’re just a hole, so if whoever is fucking you calls you ‘good girl’ you take it and say ‘thank you sir/miss/gendered or non-gendered title”
