I'm sorry for not being able to fulfill your every desire.

I'm sorry that by putting my well-being above anything else, you felt left behind.

I'm sorry that I sometimes drown myself in work, out of fear that I may not succeed.

I'm sorry that I need alone time when the demons of my past reach out and ask me to dance a waltz that often ends in an emotionally draining rabbit hole.

I'm sorry for not being an energetic vampire that demands every second of your time.

I'm sorry for putting too much of my heart on my sleeve.

I'm sorry for all the pain you've experienced at the hand of others.

I'm sorry that I wasn't worthy enough for a goodbye.

I'm sorry that in the end, I wasn't of any value to you.

Lastly, to all the ones I tried to love, I'm not sorry for letting go.
