Memoirs of an Ivory Flower: The Devil You Know, Beats The Devil You Don't
Post Body

Hello friends! I know it's been a while.

I've been super busy the last few weeks, but after a long discussion with my boss... I have vowed to improve on my work life balance. Mental health is important folks! It is vital to draw the line in the sand during your off time. Do things for yourself. Things that bring you joy!

After coming to such a life changing realization, I can't help but recall some not-so-good past experiences. Experiences where my unavailability was interpreted as a lack of care, which then resulted in deceit from past subs. That deceit being, running off to a another domme who ends up either treating them poorly, or threatening to ruin their life. At which point, they come running back to me with a wrath of vengeance, as if I'm to blame for their actions. It's quite sad really. You offer them your heart, your time and your affection, but the constant need and demand for attention manifests itself into a toxic poison that convinces them that they can find better elsewhere... Which in few cases, they are very successful at doing so... but in most, they fail horribly. In saying this, I am in no way tooting my own horn or being self indulgent. I am just confident in who I am. I lead with love, always. I ask for nothing in return but honesty, growth and submission. I have always told past subs that at anytime, they are free to fly. Some get bored of the dynamic, others find love and offer a kiss to the wind hoping it reaches my lips as they graciously bow out and never speak to me again.

Life is so layered and can be wonderfully sweet. Take some time to be grateful for what you DO have, instead of longing for something you only THINK will be better. The grass isn't always greener on the other other side. And more often than not, the Devil you know, beats the Devil you don't.
